This level 3 course is designed for any health or social care worker who wishes to improve their knowledge and understanding of end of life and palliative care. It has relevance to all types of care settings, including hospices, care homes, care in the community and primary care.

Hallmark’s learning materials encourages candidates to use a ‘person-centred’ approach to meet the physical, emotional, social, cultural and spiritual needs of people nearing the end of life and their families. The course also aims to help candidates to develop their communication skills within the context of end of life care and raise their awareness about the range of support services available to the individual and others.
